Colored Dimensions

I drew this portrait in graphite first. I made a photo copy and added the colored layer to it so that the graphite would provide a consistent base, but not smudge. There was a considerable amount of logic around color placement so that no pattern would emerge. I also thoguht a lot about the dimensions of the grid so that the box lines would fall in certain places and not, say, right over the iris. This piece was not altered digitally.
